This week, we’re thrilled to feature some incredible poems from members of our community who responded to our daily prompts for National Poetry Month. It’s been inspiring to see how each prompt sparked such raw, creative, and heartfelt work.
Thank you to everyone who’s been writing along with us—your words are powerful, and your voices matter.
April 6: Write a poem where every line starts with "If only…"
April 7: Create a poem using only questions.
April 8: Write a haiku about something unexpected.
April 9: Create a blackout poem using a page from an old book, newspaper, or magazine.
April 10: Write a six-word poem that tells a full story.
April 11: Look at a piece of art or a photograph—write an ekphrastic poem inspired by it.
Stay tuned for next week
We’ll be featuring more incredible writers all month for NAPOWRIMO. While we couldn’t share every poem submitted, we’re deeply grateful for each one. There’s more to come, so keep writing and keep sharing—we’re just getting started.
